For the longest time now, Mac has been superior to Windows when it comes to video editing. Mac is the preferred route especially if you’re an advanced editor. However, what if you’re not looking to edit anything advanced and only need something basic? Is it really going to matter which one you use? That’s the question that’s up for debate.

There are many people in the world today who would rather use Mac than Windows and vice versa. Most of the time, if you hate one then you hate the other. They are so different that people usually choose one and then stick with it unless they are forced for some reason or another to switch. When it comes to basic video editing however, how different are iMovie and Windows Movie Maker?
